School picture from 1924 -- my mother's class: S.S. No.11, King.

The first Kettleby school (S.S. No. 11) was established in 1827.  It was built on the property of John Heacock.  It was used until a new school was built in 1862. It too was closed in 1953, when the new Kettleby Public School was built, and is still used today.

Top row: Lena Clapson (teacher), Dorothy Cousins, Muriel Manning, Violet West, Olive Greensides, Vera McGill, Ruth Hunt, Listen Pearson, Gordon Davis, Leland Heacock, Ross Davis, Fred Loverock.

About 1908.
